Project: Chicago Field Museum Advertising Campaign (2021)
The Chicago Field Museum displays natural history exhibits and events for all to enjoy, from artifacts obtained from the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893 to fossils that date all the way back to over 65 million years ago.
The museum hosts many events especially for children, to become educated on the events of history. Along with the poster and banner that advertise the museum, the gatefold brochure provides an interactive experience for children to open and be informed of upcoming events that they can attend upon entering the museum. Hence, the typography is heavy, bold and brightly colored, in order to retain childrens attention, The museums more iconic display, Sue the Tyrannosaurus rex, is the main feature throughout the pieces. This is to catch the childrens attention upon seeing such an iconic symbol of the museum. Lastly, a social media post was created as part of the project to help promote the museum through a more modern method.
